Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us.

“I wanted to be sure that I was not running and had not been running my race in vain” (Galatians 2:2, NIV).

Examine the evidence to validate and confirm that you are traveling the right path.  After fourteen years, Paul returned to Jerusalem.  During that span of fourteen years, Paul had been spreading and teaching the Gentiles. The way of Jesus not Mosaic rituals and ceremonies. Peter and the other disciples spread the gospel to the Jews.  Paul’s assignment is to target the Gentiles.

Stuck

The Jews dictate circumcision of every man. The gospel is in opposition. The foundation of the gospel is Jesus not an action. Believing and following him results in salvation and redemption.  The Jews are stuck following laws and practices superseded.  They are going the wrong way.

Paul had some trepidation in his purpose.  Anxious because he is alone and in the minority.  Sound familiar.  Not in alignment with their practices and procedures of the other disciples. Again familiarity. Paul leans into faith and belief. God spoke to him. Giving him the assignment.  Titus is confirmation and evidence of his assignment.  Titus is a Gentile, not circumcised. He is a faithful follower and servant of the gospel.

Faith and believe

As with Paul, have faith and believe in your purpose.  Not looking to man but looking to God and the evidence.  Evidence is the outcomes and results of your actions.  Look to the evidence that is validation for your work.  The purpose for your life is not from man but from God.

You become stuck when seeking the approval of man to be the evidence for your work.  Instead look to the results of your work and God for the evidence.   Your race is not based on man but on the race that is in accordance to God. John 14:11, NIV Jesus says “believe in the evidence of the works themselves.”
