Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us.

Paul explains the process for building. He says “I planted the seed, Apollo watered it, but God has been making it grow” (1 Cor 3:6, NIV). Paul highlights three key elements for building:

  1. Solid foundation.
  2. Nourishment to provide required nutrients.
  3. Anchor to the endless source to support grow.

The vital component in the process of building is growth.

What are requirements for growth?

  • Intentionality. Paul says “but each one should build with care” (1 Cor 3:10, NIV)
  • Materials which is knowledge, experience and education.  Building with substandard products will result in a weak structure.
  • Durability and sustainability that withstands challenges and adversity

Build to be impactful and an imprint.  Leaving your mark on this world.  “If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward” (1 Cor 3:14, NIV).

I ask you to reflect on these three questions.

  1. What elements are you using for your construction?
  2. What are you doing to grow?
  3. What is the quality of what is being constructed?

What you build requires the right materials, motives and foundation to yield a quality structure.
